My name is Chris and I’m the owner of Kitty Automotive. I started my career as a technician working in a tire shop in 2012. In 2014 I attended NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, NC before landing a job at a Mazda dealership. I achieved manufacturer certification with Mazda and 3 years later I achieved dual certification with Mazda and Hyundai. In 2017 I left Mazda to work with Hyundai full time before gaining certification to work on hybrid vehicles. Hyundai launched their luxury line “Genesis” in 2018, and in 2021 they began splitting away from Hyundai dealerships. When our new Genesis dealership opened, I was promoted to shop foreman of the luxury line before moving to Colorado with my wife at the end of 2022. I worked at an independent shop in Colorado and started acquiring ASE certifications, then in 2024 I started working under the name Kitty Automotive.
Why “Kitty” Automotive?
Simply put, I just love cats. Before moving to Colorado I was able to show my love by making donations to the Carolina Tiger Rescue, and sponsoring a visit to the rescue for a local youth group. In 2023 I got the chance to volunteer daily at the cat-only animal shelter Angels with Paws in Lakewood, CO. It was the best job I ever had. I cleaned their rooms, changed their food and water, and laid out new blankets, then went to every room I could to spend time with each cat before leaving.
Kitty Automotive is now part of my next plan to give to those in need.
Since the very beginning, Kitty Automotive has been committed to giving 5% of all revenue to Animal Friends Alliance in Fort Collins. This money will provide food, shelter, and medical care to those in need. (Yes, even the dogs.)
Kitty Automotive is an official business supporter of Animal Friends Alliance in Fort Collins!
Our continued support helps provide food, shelter, and medical care for those in need.

Max (7) and Marceline (5)
I inherited Max on Christmas Eve, 2018 when his owner couldn’t take care of him anymore. Max changed my life in many ways and I’ve been a cat lover ever since. 8 months later, a Subaru came in for service at my dealership and we popped the hood to find a starving grey kitten who could barely open her eyes. I took her straight to the vet, got her vaccines and a clean bill of health, then named her Marceline on the way home.
